Yes, Coastal has several options available to guard against overdraft. You can link a savings or Go Green Money Market account to automatically transfer funds in the event of an overdraft. In addition, many accounts are eligible to enroll in Bounce Guard or Bounce Guard Plus which can limit the fees incurred in the event of an overdraft.
All Coastal memberships allow you to complete transactions nationwide using our network of shared branches.

A Primary Savings account is needed to open any Checking product. A minimum deposit of $25.00 is needed to open a Primary Savings.

1. APY = Annual Percentage Yield. APY is variable, is subject to change after the account is opened. APY is accurate as of the last dividend declaration date. Minimum balance required to earn APY is $0.01. Fees may reduce earnings.

2. Member must be a student. Student Checking account benefits are good for two years from the date the account is opened. To renew for another two years, the student must re-submit proof for an additional two years of eligibility. Proof of being a student includes a current school transcript, report card, or valid student ID. Age restrictions do not apply.

3. All non-Coastal ATM withdrawals during a month are free of charge until the student checking account is converted to a non-student checking account.There is no fee (surcharge) from the ATM owner when you use a CO-OP, CashPoints or Sheetz ATM.
