The Power of Sharing Gala was created to bring different business partners together to demonstrate their commitment to bettering their communities through a collaborative funding forum. The goal was to recognize the tremendous impact our local non-profits are making throughout the community.

“The Power of Sharing was formed in the spirit of giving,” says Coastal Federal Credit Union CEO, Chuck Purvis. “Our Foundation sought like-minded organizations to partner with us to not only make this event unique in nature, but to also collaborate together to truly change lives at the root cause of the issues many in our community face today. The awards handed out last evening reflect that and will undoubtedly help each organization make more of an impact than they already do.”

Partners included in last night’s awards were: AT&T, BASF, BCBS, IBM, Lenovo, and Quintiles. Entertainment was provided by Durham-based organization, KidzNotes as well as six-time Grammy Nominee and Jazz Singer, Nnenna Freelon. Catering was provided by the Angus Barn.
