On Monday, Coastal Credit Union broke ground on its newest location at 700 Village Walk Drive in Holly Springs. Coastal’s Board Chair Joan Nelson and CEO Chuck Purvis were joined by Holly Springs Assistant Town Manager Daniel Weeks, and Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce CEO Scott Manning.

“There are plenty of reasons why this site makes sense for Coastal,” said Purvis. “Over the past several years, Holly Springs has topped our list for future expansion, driven by both member feedback and the impressive growth of the town itself.

Purvis cited requests from Coastal’s existing 5,700 members already living in Holly Springs as a driving force behind the new branch, along with the town’s strong growth and promising outlook.

“It’s a town with a young, highly-educated population and one of the highest home ownership rates in the state,” Purvis added. “That tells me Holly Springs is a place that attracts people with dreams, and I like to say…  Coastal is in the business of helping make dreams come true.”

This will be Coastal’s first location in Holly Springs. Initial site work on the 2,800 sq. ft. building is scheduled to begin in early 2018, and construction should be complete by the third quarter. The new branch will feature three drive-up video tellers, and will offer Coastal’s signature 7am to 7pm teller service, seven days a week.

La Macchia Group is Coastal’s design-build partner for the project.
