Coastal’s board of directors has announced two new assignments to its 7-person board, following the credit union’s recent annual meeting and board election.
Deron Rossi has been named Vice Chair. Rossi is a veteran board member with 21 years of volunteer experience to the credit union. He is moving into the Vice Chair role following the retirement of longtime board member Richard Bloom.
In his 34-year career at IBM, Rossi has experience in Management, Corporate Accounting, Project Management, Systems Installations, Business Controls and Internal Audit. He earned a BS in Accounting from Binghamton University and is a Certified Fraud Specialist.
Rossi also serves on the Accounting Advisory Board at UNC-Wilmington and the Board of the Institute of Internal Auditors RDU Chapter. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Specialists.
Jeff Dooley has been elected to fill a three-year term as a director. Dooley most recently served as the chair of Coastal’s supervisory committee, and brings 6 years of volunteer experience to the board.
Dooley’s career spans multiple disciplines including engineering, capital planning, and supply chain operations. Jeff currently leads Americas Services Compliance for Cisco Systems. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from The University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
