In recent weeks, COVID-19 cases have continued to surge. The number of new cases* in North Carolina is now higher than it was at any point last summer, and is increasing at the steepest rate since the height of the pandemic. The latest wave is fueled by the highly contagious Delta variant, a drastic slowdown in new vaccinations, and the relaxation of masking and social distancing protocols.
We’re determined to keep our facilities safe for members and employees through this emerging threat, and are once again implementing safety protocols:
- Effective Thursday, August 5, all members and visitors to our branches will be expected to wear masks.
- We have already returned to a full masking requirement for all employees, at all locations, regardless of vaccination status.
Branches remain open if you need to visit, and we encourage you to schedule an appointment using the scheduling tool inside of online banking. We also encourage you to familiarize yourself with our digital banking tools and resources. Online Banking is available 24/7 and you can easily access your account through our mobile app which features mobile check deposit. You can also access our 24/7 call center at 919-420-8000.
We had hoped to be in a better place in the fight against COVID-19 by now, but given the drastic increase in cases, we’re back to a place of uncertainty.
