Leaves are falling, pumpkin spice lattes are being brewed, and fall is officially in the air! Fall is the perfect time to take advantage of the fresh, crisp weather and enjoy activities that won't break the bank. If you're looking for fun things to do in The Triangle while sticking to your budget, stay tuned! We're about to dive into 4 budget-friendly activities to do with your friends and family. 

Why You Should Create A Budget

1. North Caroline State Farmers Public Market

From produce to pumpkins, you can find all your fall needs at a great price at the local North Carolina State Farmers Market. Invite your family and friends to go with you and make a day of it! 

2. Go For A Hike 

What better way to enjoy fall weather than a nice hike outside? There are many different hiking trails in The Triangle to choose from.  Here's just a few of the local walking trails: 

  • Lake Johnson Park 
  • William B. Umstead State Park 
  • Neuse River Trail

Now, put your sneakers on and get hiking! 

3. Plan A Picnic 

Looking for a meal out but don't want to put a dent in your wallet? A picnic is a great way to save on eating out because you can plan ahead and grocery shop for your meal. You'll also be able to truly enjoy the great fall weather since you'll be outside! Here's a few places to enjoy a picnic in the Triangle:

4. Visit A Museum
