Joining Coastal is simple! You can become a part of our membership through one of the following:
Option 1: Business Partners
You may be qualified to join based on where you work or if you belong to an eligible association or organization. See list of Business Partners.
Option 2: Family Membership
Membership is also available to immediate family and household of eligible members. Immediate family is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent or grandchild. This includes stepparents, stepchildren, step siblings and adoptive relationships. Household is defined as persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit.
Option 3: Join the NCSEA or NCCC
North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) is a non-profit membership organization of individuals, businesses, government and non-profit interested in North Carolina's sustainable energy future. By choosing to join NCSEA, you qualify for Coastal Federal Credit Union membership. The $18 NCSEA membership fee will be deducted from your initial deposit to your Coastal Primary Savings account.
The North Carolina Consumers Council (NCCC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization promoting consumer education, consumer awareness and consumer protection in North Carolina and beyond. Benefits of NCCC membership include exclusive member discounts at businesses nationwide, personalized auto recall and defect alerts, registration to the state and National 'Do Not Call' Registries, registration for several 'do not junk mail' preference lists, consumer advice and more. By choosing to join NCCC, you qualify for Coastal Federal Credit Union membership. The $18 tax-deductible NCCC membership fee will be deducted from your initial deposit to your Coastal Primary Savings account and NCCC will contact you regarding your membership with their organization.
