No minimum balance is required for your Coastal Checking account. However, a $25 minimum opening deposit is required to get started.

Coastal's routing number is 253175494. To find your account number, simply log into Digital Banking, select the desired account, and then select "Details" on the right to view your account number.
You can earn a higher dividend rate on up to the first $10,000 in your Go Green Checking account with 15 or more debit card transactions per month.

Yes, Coastal has several options available to guard against overdrafts. You can link your savings account to automatically transfer funds in the event of an overdraft. Many accounts are eligible to enroll in Courtesy Pay or Courtesy Pay Plus, which can limit the fees incurred in the event of an overdraft.
You can deposit checks from international financial institutions at Coastal Credit Union. Please note that processing these checks can take 45-90 days as we work with foreign banks to collect the funds.
