No minimum balance is required for your Coastal Checking account.
You may order checks directly within Digital Banking. Simply choose "Order Checks" from the Accounts Summary. You may also visit https://orderpoint.deluxe.com/personal-checks/home.htm. You may also call 877-838-5287 or stop by a branch location.
Coastal's routing number is 253175494. To find your account number, simply log into Digital Banking, select the desired account, and then select "Details" on the right to view your account number.
Go Green Checking earns dividends, and Basic Checking does not earn dividends.
You can apply for a checking account by visiting a local branch or online at COASTAL24.com.
Yes. As long as you are currently enrolled as a student, you may open a Student Checking account. Student Checking account benefits are good for two years from the date the account is opened. To renew for another two years of eligibility, the student must re-submit proof of being a student. Proof of being a student includes a current school transcript, report card, or valid student ID. Age restrictions do not apply.
There is no minimum age for a checking account, but if the account is for a minor, we require a guardian to be on the account as a joint owner.
At Coastal, we do not charge a fee for ATM withdrawals at our ATMs or those in the CO-OP, CashPoints, or Sheetz networks. However, if you use an ATM outside of these networks, the ATM provider may charge a fee.

If a transaction causes your account to become overdrawn, there may be a fee associated with that as well. For more details, check out our Fee Schedules.
Each time you use your Coastal debit or credit card, we give one penny back to the Coastal Foundation. That adds up to almost $400,000 a year to support our community!
You can deposit checks from international financial institutions at Coastal Credit Union. Please note that processing these checks can take 45-90 days as we work with foreign banks to collect the funds.

To deposit the check, you can visit any of our branch locations. If you are unable to visit a branch, please complete the Foreign Collection Disclosure Form and mail it with the original check to:
