Coastal Credit Union Hires Murlonda Webb as Chief of Staff

RALEIGH, N.C. (September 8, 2026) – Coastal Credit Union has hired Murlonda Webb as Chief of Staff, where she will help drive enterprise strategy, organizational alignment, and executive leadership initiatives. She joins Coastal from EFCU Financial, where she most recently served as Vice President of Culture and Community Engagement.

In this role, Webb will serve as a strategic extension of the CEO, Tyler Grodi, helping coordinate the execution of Coastal's enterprise priorities, strengthening alignment across departments, and supporting effective decision-making throughout the organization. She will also play a key part in executive leadership operations, governance, culture initiatives, and community engagement efforts.

The appointment reflects Coastal's continued focus on organizational growth, strategic execution, and strengthening collaboration across the enterprise.

Webb brings more than 14 years of experience supporting executive leadership teams, advancing strategic initiatives, and building strong organizational cultures within credit unions. Before moving into executive leadership, she worked closely with EFCU Financial senior leaders to drive strategic priorities and operational excellence.

Webb holds a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University and a master's degree in English from Southern New Hampshire University. She is also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the published author of three children's books.
