Getting started with CashBack+ is simple. Follow these quick steps to buy digital gift cards through Digital Banking and start earning cash back your way

  • Open CashBack+

    Find it on your homepage dashboard on PC, or select CashBack+ from the Menu on Coastal's Mobile App

  • Select Your Offers

    Select Offers and browse digital gift cards from top brands, or search for your favorites. Buy your digital gift card with your Coastal account. The cash back amount will be added to your CashBack+ Wallet

  • Use Your Gift Card

    Your digital gift card is sent to your email after purchase. It's also available in your CashBack+ Wallet (select the three dots in the upper-right corner to find it). Use your gift card online or in-store!

  • Redeem Your Cash Back

    Select Redeem to easily transfer your CashBack+ Wallet balance to your Coastal checking or savings account.

Yes, you can determine which Coastal account funds are debited from within the CashBack+ marketplace.

Gift cards are sent to the email address registered with your digital banking profile. Occasionally our emails will find their way into a junk or spam folder or the promotions tab; please check there first.

You can access your previously purchased gift cards either through the email confirmation or through your CashBack+ Wallet, which is accessible in the menu of the CashBack+ marketplace. In your Cashback+ Wallet you’ll be able to view all your previously purchased cards in one place.

If you no longer have access to the email account on file, please update your email address in your banking profile. Once updated, please contact Coastal Credit Union to confirm the change and have the previous gift cards sent to your new email address.

The CashBack+ Pay browser extension is a small tool that helps you earn cashback automatically when you shop online and notifies you about deals so you never miss a saving opportunity. To use it, connect your Coastal account through the CashBack+ Pay app on your iPhone or by logging into your Coastal account on Chrome (computer) or Safari (iPhone). If your Coastal account isn’t already linked, the extension will prompt you to connect it.

When you are in-store, open up the CashBack+ Pay app and choose the in-store option to select the brand. Enter the amount of your cart to purchase a digital gift card. Present the digital gift card to the cashier to pay for your order.

Yes, once claimed, the digital gift card claim page can be printed. Print the claim page via desktop by going to File Print in the upper left corner of the browser (On a Mac) or by right-clicking on the claim page (On a PC) and selecting the Print option from the list. This will print out the entire web page to present in-store.

Gift card purchases are typically final and cannot be canceled or exchanged. However, if you experience an issue with your card transaction, please contact CashBack+ support at [email protected]. We’ll do our best to help resolve the situation.

With certain email accounts, gift card emails can get threaded together. This can especially be an issue with Gmail accounts. Please check the inbox where the gift card was sent to see if other emails are tethered to that email.

No problem! If you can locate the original email from when you received the gift card, click on the link to reclaim your card. Alternatively, if you have created a CashBack+ account, you can view and access any of your cards there. If you cannot find the original email, reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

Yes! After purchasing a gift card, you can share it in one of two ways:

  1. Forward the confirmation email to the recipient.
  2. Share the access codes displayed with the card in your CashBack+ Wallet.

Once you've sent the gift card, it's best to archive it so you don't accidentally use it yourself. Here's how: 

  • Open your CashBack+ profile and click Menu.
  • Select Wallet.
  • Click on the card you've gifted.
  • Tap "Archive" to remove it from your active wallet view.
Yes! You’ll see your earned CashBack+ balance reflected in real time as transactions post. However, cash rewards become redeemable after the month in which they are earned.
All CashBack+ balance earned across all cards on the account is combined and displayed under the primary cardholder.
Yes! CashBack+ rewards expire seven years after they are issued and are redeemed on a first-in, first-out basis, as outlined in the program terms.
