Coastal Credit Union has promoted MaryAnne Gangoy to Chief Member Advisory Officer. In her new role, she will oversee Coastal’s advisory and sales functions, including physical and digital branches. She will lead the credit union’s efforts in growing consumer lending, deposits, and new membership, as well as building corporate partnerships with local employers. She will also continue to oversee Coastal’s Wealth Management, Member Assistance Program, and Financial Well-Being departments.

“MaryAnne is a strong addition to the Executive Leadership Team,” said Chuck Purvis, President & CEO.  “She is uniquely qualified with experience at Coastal and prior to Coastal in the major areas for responsibility, and will further our commitment to promoting financial well-being for all, leading our work to become a trusted advisor to every member, and building a member-centric Member Advisory organization.”

Gangoy brings a wealth of Coastal and industry experience to the role.  She joined Coastal in 2012 and most recently served as VP, Wealth Management.  Her 10 years of Coastal experience includes time as VP of Retail Sales and Service, and as a Market Manager for the credit union’s Durham branches.  Her 27 years in financial services also includes leadership roles at large regional and national banks.

She also likes to give back to the community, and has volunteered with Note in Pocket, Durham Ronald McDonald House, Tennis for Tots, Duke Children’s Hospital, and Rise for Hunger.
