We have some great news! Using your Coastal credit and debit cards for frictionless payments when you travel just got even easier!  Thanks to the latest in card security and fraud prevention, Coastal members no longer need to submit travel notifications.

Here are some fraud enhancements and added security to keep your card safe when you travel:

  • Tap to Pay: EMV chip cards send encrypted data to the card reader. This is the most secured form of payment globally, and there are minimum interruptions when using this type of payment in most countries.
  • Mobile Payments: Google Pay™, Apple Pay®, and Samsung Pay® transmit unique tokens to the merchant terminal. Merchants do not receive members’ actual card numbers to store in their system, which prevents your data from being stolen from the merchant.
  • One-Time Passcodes: Coastal texts members a one-time passcode to proceed with purchases when there’s an increased risk. This passcode should never be given to anyone, EVEN if they claim they represent Coastal.

Coastal recommends that our members review your monthly statements.   Notify us immediately if you see anything unusual on your statement.  You have 60 days from the receipt of your statement to dispute transactions.

We look forward to serving you here at home and wherever your travels take you.
