Coastal Credit Union’s newest branch is now open at 7103 NC Highway 751 at the Hope Valley Commons shopping center in Durham, NC.  The 2,800 sq.ft. branch replaces a storefront branch at Southpoint Crossing.  It features three drive up tellers and Coastal’s signature 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. teller services, available seven days a week.

“This new Hope Valley branch is an important evolution of Coastal’s branch network and an addition to the Durham community,” said President & CEO, Chuck Purvis. “We’ve been serving this neighborhood since 2003 through a series of storefront branches. Having a new, freestanding building with more amenities and greater convenience gives our longtime, loyal members something they truly deserve.”

The Hope Valley branch features dual function video teller machines. Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., members will be presented with a welcome screen that allows them to select whether they want to use the machine to get full service from a live teller, or if they want to use it as an ATM, which is available 24/7.

The branch offers a full slate of loans and deposit accounts, as well as an on-site mortgage loan officer and services provided by Coastal Wealth Management and Daymark Realty. Wendolyn Filmore-Mitchell is the branch manager. She has 12 years of Coastal expertise, including the past several years leading the Southpoint Crossing team.

Grand Opening events are planned at the branch over the next two weeks, including:

  • Thursday, November 7 Ribbon Cutting & Business After Hours
  • Tuesday, November 12 Member Appreciation Day
  • Saturday, November 16 Family Fun Day
